Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay NT members:
Operate with integrity and honesty. Guests should expect to receive courtesy, genuine hospitality and a unique accommodation experience
Carry adequate Public Liability Insurance: covering guests and provide documented Certificate of Currency to the BBFNT at renewal of their insurance each year
Register the establishment name: with the appropriate Government Department if required by State or Local Governments
Have Local Government approval to operate a Bed & Breakfast or Farmstay establishment and abide by State and Local Government regulations
Comply with applicable fire safety requirements
Ensure that advertising and promotional material accurately describes their establishments
Provide an adequate breakfast or breakfast provisions each day, included in the tariff
Provide a bathroom or bathrooms for exclusive use by guests.
Be contactable by guests at all times and provide emergency telephone numbers
Keep proper business records.
Membership does not automatically pass with the property. New owners must apply for membership. The outgoing owner must advise the BBFNT of the sale.
